Very Good

I want to say that the customer experience was excellent across the board, the staff definitely didn't robotically follow SOP but thought about the needs of the customer when trying to meet my requests I was down with food poisoning and the hotel helped me get the necessary medication, it really made a difference.

What was the highlight of Hotel G

Great choice if you want to be near downtown, but not right in downtown. Very nice staff!

The room I had was relatively small, but cosy. And I believe there are bigger rooms available, too. The breakfast is great, fast service and good choice (you get to cross your choice on a menu sheet, no buffet breakfast) of Western and/or Asian breakfast. The restaurant downstairs is excellent. Power is on 24/7, as soon as there is a power cut, the generator comes on instantly.

All good, there's a supermarket nearby, you're in downtown Yangon in 10 minutes on foot and to Junction City it's also just over 10 minutes walking. Taxi drivers know the place and it's never a problem getting a ride from Hotel G.

Comfortable stay

Decently priced hotel near the centre of Yangon. Great staff who also speak English. The hotel was new, clean and comfortable.

The room was quite small ('good' room). Fine for a solo traveller such as myself but couples probably should consider a larger room. The shower and toilet were also separate cubicles opening into the room.

Well located comfortable hotel

Location was excellent. Liked having taxis available, having separate toilet and shower and the pillows. Liked that there was lots of fresh fruit at breakfast and plain yoghurt.

Some noise from the street in early morning. Evening meal was a bit expensive

Other than the stress and frustration of the pre-booked taxi we really enjoyed the Hotel.

Location was brilliant...the bistro Babette which is part of the Hotel was excellent. My only concern was I used the Booking .com option of booking a taxi. It was half an hour late. The cost compared with local taxis was exhorbitant.

Having been travelling for some 20 hours I thought booking a taxi ahead would be a good idea My phone was not working on the local network...it was only the excellent help from Tourist info at the airport that we finally tracked down the taxi.

Highly recommended in Yangon

Probably one of the best options for Yangon, very close to the main interest points, walking distances to the Old Market, City Hall and to seaside. Excellent design (personally I love it a lot, very fresh and happy, from my opinion a very good one), kindly and helpful staff. Because of these, the hotel was fully booked. I had a quiet room an upper floor as requested. The dimensions of the room are not very big, rather a Japanese style, with sink and the mirror near the entrance, wc and shower cabin separately, but I felt all like a very comfortable place to stay within 3 days. If you have expectations for 5 stars, probably G Hotel Yangon will not meet your needs, but sure will be the perfect and fancy place to stay for a rational traveller. For me was more than perfect. Definitely this is the place for my second trip to Yangon

Good facilities, but poor first impression on staff

good location, good facilities.

When we arrived the hotel at 530 am after a long bus trip from Bagan, we were delighted to have such a comfortable hotel to rest. We planned to store our luggage and then check in later after 2 pm. When I asked the receptionist if we could store our luggage first, he said no early check in. I said that we do not want to check in now but just to store our luggage. He then kept on saying if we want to have early check in, we could either pay 50%more of the room price or go to Tripadvisor to give 5 stars comment with his name mentioned so that we could check in earlier without paying any extra cost. That s really irritating. What he means was to ask us for manipulated review. He can neither speak english fluently or offer us any help. Bad impression on the staff.

Great option in Yangon

The rooms are really stylish and the restaurant on the ground floor is super popular (for good reason). Location is good and walkable to most places in the center. Full gym included is a huge plus. Definitely a good option for Yangon.

The “good” level rooms are a bit on the small side, but still perfectly fine for solo and business travelers. However, be sure to ask for a room that’s not on the second floor since the noise from the fitness classes in the gym on the first comes through the floor and can be very disruptive.

Great location; great lobby bar; overpriced food.

Great lobby bar; probably the best we went to in Yangon. Room was small but comfortable for 2 people. Good location (next to Bogyoke Aung San Market, a short taxi ride to Shwe Dagon Pagoda, walking distance to Little India, China town, street vendors, etc.)

Food was very overpriced in the restaurant, 10% standard service charge and 5% tax on top of bill which we didn't see anywhere else in Myanmar.

Best Hotel in Yangon!

The Room: The room is beautifully decorated, equipped with JBL Speakers & Television. The complimentaries are okay. The toiletries cover are particularly cute, if you want one, you can buy one at the reception. There are many outlets inside the room, they actually have one in both sides of the bed. The Bed: The sheets are very clean, you’ll know it because it doesn’t have anything itchy. The Pillows are soft and comfortable. It won’t hurt your neck. The food: The food is okay, not much selection during breakfast. The Toilet: I personally loved the separate shower and toilet. It’s clean. It’s cute. Too bad it doesn’t have a bidet yet. The Location: The hotel is strategically located right at the heart of Yangon. 10minute walk from Bogyoke Market, 5 mins ride to Sule Pagoda, 15 minute ride from Shwedagon Pagoda. Convenience store, ATM & restaurants are just few blocks away. Taxis are available right outside the hotel. The price: The price is affordable and definitely worth it!

Great Experience

Great restaurant & bar - with local and international menu. Friendly staff that were English speakers. Hotel is very modern and new. I also loved the pillow menu! This is not something so common to see and I value a lot as the right pillow can make the night of sleep even better! The gym is full size and with all modern equipments (TRX, power plate and new treadmills)

It was really hot and there is no pool.

Great location but small room

The style and vibe of the hotel was good! Good amenities and toiletries!

Small room, pillow were too flat and soft gave us neck pain! Water temperature was so unpredictable and unstable! One night there was smoke smell coming out from our a/c duct.

An Excellent new and fresh feel Hotel (with best Pancakes in breakfast)

Exceptional breakfast. One of the best pancakes and waffles I have ever tried. The best ever gym and it is so huge and full of people and 24 hours open. Very close to the central train station and at walking distance to many places. Staff at reception is very nice and knows the job very well.

Restaurant is a bit pricy and expensive as compared to what it serves. I remember ordering that Pasta and it was so small in size that I ended up ordering again the same and it cost me a good 30 euros.
